@jespah,
The same company makes another robot that washes off muddy paw marks; it uses your avatar as well - hope you trademarked the image!

haha, very good. if you can extrapolate some greater meaning to vacuum cleaners, go right ahead. Smile

Oh sweet! I can't resist this challenge...

Within the essence of the vacuum cleaner is therein represented the "me" interacting with my world. The engine's hum like the constant energy we all give off in living our lives - the slow molecular decay of all things, returning to the abyss - the toil of moving the upright handle; also, is not unlike the daily toil of living in the moment, shackled to the mundane triviality of day to day life. Yes, I think it has much significance; needing energy like I do, my neighbor does, it serves its purpose - for what are any of us without some direction? Fortunately; for Mr Vacuum Cleaner, he was intentionally created for a purpose where we must find our own. Consuming, toiling and taking part in the great dance of the physical realm.

... I spent 20 years in federal service; I have a PhD in bullshitting

Thanks

@GoshisDead,
Much 2 0ften, alas. But we can still enjoy the forum to chit chat. About chat; why do we not have chat like real Philosopher Wink ? Everybody can talk, no-body has to listen. Just the normal routine ?

@High Seas,
My cousin has one of those... fantastic. It was hard to believe my eyes when I saw it in action. I'd like one too. (I think Phoenix has one also). If I remember, there are two kinds - but I'm fuzzy on the difference.

I'll think about getting one when they come out with a model that also picks stuff up off the floor (like Alex's clothes, shoes, cds, books, guitars, younameit). I'd even pay a bit more for that.

@Mame,
The Japanese have one of those - it's the most amazing thing, I saw it being tested at a factory on Mount Fuji. Not sure if it's for sale yet.

@Pepijn Sweep,
No, it's Fuji Fanuc, an affiliate of Fujitsu. They mostly specialize in robots for factories but they test all other kinds of applications as well.
