But, please rid yourself of all that religious claptrap. It's not becoming or even useful. I say this in a loving way; don't be offended at my candor.
I knew you were a nice guy. I apologize for causing you to take offense
to my comments about the book. My mistake. We can be friends, but
can we agree to disagree? I am a long time Christian which is not a
religion, until people try to make one out of it. Christianity is God reaching
down to man and religion is man reaching up for some kind of a god. Jesus died for you and me and Budda didn't die for anybody. I cannot
rid myself of a living relationship with the God that takes care of me. It's
not a club I joined, OK. It's not something I just decided one day that
it was a good idea. It's in every fiber of my being. I am sorry that you
think it is religious claptrap. That is your opinion and I will honor your
right to think so. I thought this forum was about Spirituality & Religion.
I did not know it was only for atheist and agnostics, etc. and Christians
were not suppose to voice our claptrap too. I can see that I was probably
wrong about my assumption. Most will be pleased that I am leaving on
a trip for a few weeks and won't be poising a treat to their dead gods.
Christians have a way of doing that. You can talk about any little old
god you want to like Budda, Mohummad, Krisna, etc. and you hardly hear a sqeak out of anybody. Mention Jesus Christ and everybody comes unglued. Confirms to me that there is power in that name. You have to be a live God to do that. Satan hates it because he is the father of religion, athesiam and agnostics.
Enough Christian claptrap for the moment. We do have one thing in common in that I was born 9-11-42 and probably some other things too.
Until again.
