So, that's the question you can answer...

But when will you answer it?

I believe all Americans owe the Brits a bit of gratitude. Why? I guess I can not answer that question.

That is actually a no brainer.

I am grateful British Petroleum is letting 4.2 million gallons of crude oil per day gush into not just American waters, but the waters that belong to all living creatures on earth.

It is times like this when I am very sad I do not have one drop of British heritage in my background.

Because I don't have any? Because I am Polish, Russian, South African, Dutch, and French? Because I dislike the idea of patriotism and personally don't give a crap?

If you want to use the typical 'American' it's probably because America originally wanted to disassociate themselves with empirical colonizing Britain of the past, and it just stuck.

Hi Sentience!

I am human and of no patriotism either.

Kindest regards!

Thanks?

I don't think you'll find many Native Americans standing in line to give thanks for the British roots of the USA.

@gustavratzenhofer,
I'd like to thank the brits for inventing bangers and mash without which we'd be eating fried chicken and t-bone steaks.

yes of course she meant the indigenous folk, the heathen savages the pilgrims (the same pilgrims the brits threw out for being rabble-rousers and thungs) invited to dinner so they could slaughter them en masse.

@dyslexia,
Hi Dys!

I'll have you know - we brought the common cold and influenza over to help them become resistant. We never foresaw it backfiring, as it did!

Kindest regards!

Gus, Edgar's been where he belongs - here, there, and everywhere.

Can or will you answer this question? Where the hell have YOU been, you pitchfork-toting capybara farmer?

@mark noble,
I don't give a rat's ass what your intentions were, when the rubber hit the road, you brits shipped your religious riff-raff across the big ditch because they were a ******* nuisance to civil society and then did the same with the scots-irish for the same reason.

It couldn't be half way as bad as what British school boys did to each other in public school.
