H = Harvey?

Or it is not a proper use of English?

A professor inadvertently made a mild mistake: he wrote "0.15mV or less" as "1.5mV or less". I sent him a message in which I pointed out the error and he wrote back:

it's an abbreviation of Harvey.

Yes. One is probably written by the professor, and the other is probably an automated signature line. Writing it by hand shows personal attention.
