Here we all sit, on an Internet forum, through our ideals at the world.

As an American I say that we are obligated to do that . I also say that we should remember to not take ourselves so seriously to think ourselves more than just another rock in the pond. Sure we have our effect on the world. To what extend? Well I suppose it matters were your rock hit the pond, and were ones twig was floating when that came to pass.

My thoughts to who,ever might receive them today is, just this, one might consider.

Corruption and evil stand at the gates today. Or is it , They perpetually stand at the gates? We must all stand vigilant watch to this at all times.i have found that the world has never been a safe place. It is my opinion that what evil most desires is to make me hate. Yet this is a daily struggle. There are days it has more success than others. So when I get up in the morning I must remember that this is a new day. Yesterdays loses and setback are of yesterday and have no bearing on today's struggles unless I allow them to.

When I find the end of the day, I must stop to remember that today's struggles I found, I met with the best intentions and whether I prevailed or lost to them it is time to lay them behind me and rest. For tomorrow won't remember them, lest i remind tomorrow about them .

Agreed. I believe the purpose of such debate is to refine our thoughts and ideas and weed out those that are not so well supported.

But isn't it possible that a persons most ill received ideals might be the ones most worthy of pursuit? At Least from the standpoint that evil is abundant and tireless.

Read a book called 'State of Fear' by Michael Crichton.

What is being played out at the moment is just another stage.

@Bevo,
But you can't follow your crumbs when your turn around because the birds have already ate them.

Are you calling me truth?

That is an odd thing to say.

I know I will be called a radical for this. But it is my opinion that this country has been headed down the path of socialism since the end of the Civil War.

I could not agree more. As we become more liberal in our thinking and expect others to assist us down the easy path, socialism become more desirable than ambition. It's always easier for the weak to follow than to lead.

I will tell ya personal experience. Were I work we are still working in this crisis because the American system is providing the most dependable results to get product to market for investment. Disasters at facilities in other parts of the world have caused them to move production plans to the US. last month they moved to redirect plans at other facilities , to the US. Why? Because when they make plans here, they happen. The facilities in the US have time and time again out performed the ones elsewhere. Why? Capitalism and freedom work.

You could argue that. And I would not fight your stand.

Education of our youth is paramount. And to introduce it into an argument discussing the socialist direction of our country is simply a weak argument. We could parse words on the matter to this point from over a hundred years ago. And if we follow that progressive and systematic advancement of socialism , does that mean that we should as American citizens just surrender to the socialist leanings of society today?

@Bevo,
I believe the reason socialism has worked for education and law enforcement is because they are basic needs of the people for knowledge and safety.

Socialism i believe works for necessities such as education, law enforcement, roads, bridges and so on.

But i believe capitalism works for money and commodities, it is the continual cycle of earn and spend that motivates people to earn money by being productive.

socialism isn't always a bad thing, just some food for thought.

I would whole heartily agree with you. But when that thought line comes into the argument it has been used bye socialist Americans to leverage there arguments to justify the Marxist platform the Democratic nominee running on.

Socialism is a system of economic redistribution having nothing to do with education or law enforcement.
