That's very nice -- have a wonderful trip, edgar.

How about taking a ride from Denver to Albuquerque before you return home? Believe it or not, ABQ has a nice airport.

Would that I could. But, I am but a hitch hiker in the galaxy, for now.
We had not intended to have a tree, this year, but, my wife finally just had to put one up. We have dozens of wooden and plastic figures, in lieu of balls. We started collecting them almost thirty years ago, and most are still intact. So, she put electric lights and a selection of the figures on there. Not much more, except the angel top piece. It looks lovely there on the bar separating the living room from the kitchen. We have a much larger tree, but we felt we could trust Punky the dog to leave it in pieces if we put it up.
Edgar--
I envy you your tree. Mr. Noddy has had his mind made up for the last 19 years.
This atheist has been giving serious thought to doing a painting of Santa on the cross, but I don't know if it's worth all the effort.
Santa on a cross will be seen as sacrilege by most Christians.
Well, of course. But isn't the whole idea of (our commercial) Xmas the paganization of Chrisitian Doctrine? Santa on the cross merely makes this explicit.
Yeah, jesus is probably having a good laugh over the commericalization of his birth.

We will have our tree, grandkids and kids present or not.

How about a melting Santa, ala Dali?

I've managed to get this far in the season without spending a full twenty dollars, thus far. Of course, I will end up buying a few things, but not that much.
Hey edgar.
I just re-read some stuff you posted a couple years back, where you were (in effect) having to defend Harry Belefonte, after he was quoted calling C. Powell a "house negro". I was again moved by your account of your upbringing and some of the stuff you went through growing up. I was again so proud of you for the things you said about integrity.
I hope you have a wonderful holiday season.
Snood, I wish for you the best season and the best life possible. I am proud to be your friend.
MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL
Leave Santa a few carrots and an energy drink tonight.
Merry Christmas to Edgar and to everyone.
May your coming year be all that you hope it to be and more.
MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL and a HAPPY, HEALTHY, PROSPEROUS NEW YEAR.
It's the big day, here in Colorado. Hope everybody is doing as well as the wife and I.
Merry Christmas to Edgar and wife.
Where are you in Colorado? My son and his wife live in Longmont.
Have a nog by the fire and enjoy the hoiliday.
We are in a suburb about a half hour drive from the airport. Forgot its name. My daughter says the Broncos football players live nearby.
Merry Christmas, Edgar, to you and all your family, from Vivienne and myself.
Hope it's a fine holiday!
