Consider the egg, for example. It's sort of a disgusting concept, as a food item, don't you think? It's like milk. Milk, when you ponder its origins and nature, is a creepy thought. Centuries from now, if Man still exists, the thought of humans devouring animals might be judged as disgusting and immoral.

At some point, I got grossed out by certain foods -- milk, eggs, fish. Dunno why. Just lost my appetite for them. I think the less we eat, the better. :bunny:

Pino! No milk, eggs or fish?? 3 of my favorite foods. In fact, I look forward to morning latte and a lox omelet - delicious.

@Silverchild79,
Yes, if you think about it, some early man said "let's pull that white round thing out of that animals ass and eat it" or, let's grab that big old thing hanging down from that big cow-thing and suck on it." I don't think I could've gone there....

Funny about Edward G. Robinson. He played the consummate tough guy when in fact, he was a very sweet old Jewish businessman. Could have been selling men's suits in the garment district.

@Pinochet73,
Sometimes, when in the field, training, I wondered if the Army was feeding us something like Soylent Green. They gave us green, scrambled eggs once in awhile, back in the '80s. I'd look at them, and almost puke. :eek:

I"m pretty sure I still ate them, sometimes. It depended on how hungry I was. I could've sworn I saw an eyeball or two in there, though. Laughing :439: :rolleyes: :3some:
