Americans fight back on gas prices!

You guys are pretty damned good at changing the subject. First we were talking about the fact that you believe it is perfectly fine for our elite wealthy leaders who are invested heavily in the oil industry to do nothing about the fact that the oil industry is making record breaking profits - and let me reiterate - not just for the oil industry but for any industry in the entire history of the United states - while we all pay record breaking prices at the pumps. You see nothing wrong with that. Conflict of interests are no big deal for you as far as your leglislatures are concerned. Did I get that right? Please let me know .....

Then you changed it to the poverty level and tried to claim that it was lower than before - and somehow you believe you are an economic genius in exclaiming that "yes the rich get richer but so do the poor."

I explained that the issues was the gap between the rich and the poor - and proved you wrong on the poverty claims you made -

Then we have you talking about the comments I made - bringing up the special olympics and something I said resembling participation in it - When are you going to focus on what you are arguing about and stop skipping around and spinning around like a dimented ballarina?

I make a few jokes, and granted at your expense - but in my opinion they were quite fitting. Your buddy Pinochio or whatever thinks I am crazy because he or she still has not figured out what it is that they are saying - and that is probably the case with you too - which strikes me as ironic about the whole thing is that is just totally indicative of people like you guys - when you hear the truth you can't recognize it - even if it comes out of your own mouth. You just keep saying what I wrote - say it to others and say it loud and say it all the time and eventually someone will tell you what it is that you are saying - and you will, for the first time ever, hear the truth come out of your own mouth.

And just for the record, the truth always sounds crazy to those who refuse to believe it because their own choices have caused too much suffering for them to look at and take responsibility for - I undestand - I just find it rather ....well.....I will save that for another day.

Again - is it okay in your eyes then, that our policy makers are legislating for their own benefit and not the benefit of their constituents? Is it okay with you that the oil companies are allowed to charge sky high prices for oil and make record breaking profits and our legislators not do a thing about it because they are invested by the millions and the hundreds of thousands and also the reciepients of huge campaign donations? Can you simply answer that question? Any of you?

Thanks for asking - no solution at this point will be a quick one or one which will have an instant and rewarding outcome. What we have done will take years and perhaps generations to undo - from the telling the truth to the dumbed down population (mostly not much fault of their own - but nonetheless will have to step up to the plate) Americans need to step up to the plate and get to know their representative and senators work ethics - they will need to start reading what is happening in congress and the senate and I don't mean from the newspapers I mean the bills themselves - they will need to follow bills and know what committee is responsible for killing thebill - who chairs that committee and what that bill would have done or would do if it hits the floor for a vote.

We need to get rid of the political parties all together and let people run on their own merits - and have no annonomity to hide behind or their political parties platform. every man for himself - with no one to answer to but his constitutients. No more decorating bills with unrelated and irrelevant issues - to further eliminate one's responsibility either.

Campaign finance needs to be reformed and I don't mean by those getting the donations or those giving them - how ridiculous - This is a democracy well I should say a republic but one wouldn't know it because we have a bought and sold bunch of leaders - complacent to the corporate america and not those who vote them in office. There should be no campaign finance except some earmarked funds every year which should be divided between candadites and mainstream media stations should be made to donate an equal amount of time for every candadite. That will cut out all the self interests - with the exception of their own financial interests - there should be no tolerance of conflicting interests - if you are invested in a company and that company wants a war contract - you either remove yourself from the committee which determines who gets the contract or you recuse yourself from the vote or you divest in that company - and answer to your constituents for any choice you make.

Lastly, the corporate america is polluting our waters, our air, our land - and ripping off millions and millions of americans - some are wrecking havoc on the people's world in our name and with our money - some are accountable to no one and that is not good - everyone agrees except the ceo's of these corporations that war is death and destruction and it is a racket - it always has been and always will be - racketeering is wrong - if corporations don't have a host - anotherwords they are parasites like a tick and they suck off the blood of the American people - or people of wherever they are - without the blood, sweat and tears, hard work , dedication, ideas and consumering of the people they are nothing - they wither and die - we need to quit working for them; quit buying from them and quit selling to them - they will with away and die just like a tick who can't find a host for it's blood sucking for too long - bye bye - support local farmers - not corporate or industrial farming - pay those higher prices because in shopping at wallmart etc you are truley in the long run hurting yourselves and saving no money - support local venders and get the hell off the grid - find ways to be self sufficient and return to community - this is the only peaceful means, that i SEE OF RECOVERY - OTHERWISE WE ARE HEADED TO HELL - IT MAY ALREADY BE TOO LATE - I DON'T KNOW.

I'd like to know what Liz drives? And if she does, what does it run on? If it's not part of the solution me thinks she's definately part of the problem. Perfect place to start would be to cell her car and seek alternate routes? Trains use fuel so that's not an option. Most hybrids still run gasolene so that's out. Air travel should be a nono as well. Like to travel do you Liz?

I would venture to say that even our troops now are fully admitting that we are fighting this war for oil. How freakin sad! What have they done to you - Where is your heart and sense of decency and integrity.
