@Reagaknight,
I'm appauled.

not because my candidate didn't win, but rather who did win. Huckabe as a president is like going to church every sunday. we don't need that. our founding fathers realized this, and hence the whole seperation of church and state thing......

is it that hard to grasp?

america is ******* stupid.

no wonder france hates us, and they're pussies.

I hate to get off topic, but there's no basis for using separation of church and state as actual law.

Huckabee is very much entitled to run and win, just because you disagree with what he believes in doesn't mean it's valid to say the founding fathers would have hated him.

i don't disagree with what he belives in... i'm a gad-faring person and all that.

America needs a business man politician, not a "vow of poverty to help everyone" priest/pastor

1. Separation of church and state does not mean that a man of god or allah can not run for office. Where is the objection to Obama? Also a Christian. I think.
2. It's not hard to grasp. Do you think if a person proclaims his faith publicly he should be banned from running?
3. Mostly products of public schools.
4. If France ever does not hate us, we'll need a revolution.
5. Me too. I'd rather he be a presidential adviser.

@Reagaknight,
i don't have a problem with him being a christian or baptist, whatever it is... nor do i have a problem with him being a minister. its just the way he comes off in everything. He reminds me of the 40-yr old virgin... lol

We need someone with some nuts to deal with things and not 'turn to god' for help. we need someone who can 'turn to the missle deploy buttons' or something, like Gunny from mail call. now r. Lee Emery would make a damn good president! haha

What makes a Christian President incapable of 'dealing with things'? I'm pretty sure that almost every past President was Christian, and many of them dealt with things quite nicely. We're still here, aren't we?

He could have done well in Iowa because he is a liberal democrat, but he didn't want to spoil his warmonger image for the rest of the country.

No basis? HAHAHAHA what you guys and you radical Islam, and worrying about radical islamic states? No need for seperation of church and state? And then you whine about Islamic nations? So it's OK as long as it is a christian nation, but as soon as it's an islamic nation it evil?

You cannot compare a Christian America to any radical Islamic state on any level.

Yes, I can, and I just did. That is typical of what I am speaking of. It's ok for us because we think OUR religion is right, and better, but if they do it, they are animals, and extremist. Give me a ******* break.

Why not? Islamics strap bombs to their children and send them out to kill innocents, but we're so much better because we do it in a suit and tie with a smart bomb. Our hands never get as dirty, but we do the same things they do. We have the same objectives and goals, but we are more deceptive and word our intentions so they are palatable. Christian America has been involved in just as many conflicts, killed just as many people as radical Islam. The only difference is that we fill out all the paperwork and transmit our media propaganda to justify our atrocities. Yes, you can compare the two, with a stark likeness.

I didn't say that, you're a bit too eager. I simply said that there is no indication that separation of church and state should be carried out as legal policy in the United States.

However, if you think that religion and politics can realistically be expected to stay separate you're in for a surprise. People vote based on what they believe in politically, and what can be more important to political beliefs on subjects that are just as religious as political than a politician's religion?
