My GW Conspiracy Theory

I do not believe in the whole "Global Warming is a Bad Thing" circus.
Sadly many people are suckered up in it.

I fwwl that the GW movement is primarily a political movement.
What are the objectives of this movement?

Usually the best thing to do is to "follow the money" - who benefits?

My theory is that GW is part of the economic warfare between China and the West.

Here is my thinking:
1. If West falls prey to GW then people will want to drive less or drive more efficient cars. If Western oil consumption drops then so does the price of oil. The wealthy West can afford oil at $60 per barrel but China can't. It is in China's best interest to get the price of oil down.

2. If the West decides to clean up their industries then there will be a significant added expense to running manufacturing shops in the West. China has proven it does not care about pollution and so its economy will not be hindered or hobbled by "the clean up".

3. It is known that during the Cold War, the Soviet Union funded left-wing patsies to hold protests of one sort or other to disrupt society. The Chinese can be following those examples.

The result for China is faster economic growth while the West wastes time on navel gazing.

The worst thing for Americans could be that Al Gore is a Chinese patsy.

Any thoughts or additions to the idea?

@z0z0,
The GW argument was seriously damaged by gas-bag Al Gore, the most obviously FAKE politician alive. He doesn't even TRY to conceal his insincerities. Man, he sucks, hard. I wish somebody would gave that idiot a king-sized, toxic-waste enema.:no:

@z0z0,
What makes you think China couldn't afford higher prices and the west could?
Chinese government had a Trillion dollar surplus last year. The US can barely afford the interest it has to pay on what it owes. China's trade surplus is huge. Trust me China can afford more then you think it can.

@z0z0,
There is a difference between the money the government has and the price of oil that the people and industries pay. Unless the government subsidizes the price of oil.

Based upon what did you come to this conclusion? By the way, blogs and Rush just make you look uniformed. So, please, provide the data.

@z0z0,
Aren't news reports about his high use of electricity at his homes , his over-indulgent use of airplanes , his "carbon offset " scam enough ?
Quote:
POWER: GORE MANSION USES 20X AVERAGE HOUSEHOLD; CONSUMPTION INCREASE AFTER 'TRUTH'Mon Feb 26 2007 17:16:14 ET The Tennessee Center for Policy Research, an independent, nonprofit and nonpartisan research organization committed to achieving a freer, more prosperous Tennessee through free market policy solutions, issued a press release late Monday:Last night, Al Gore’s global-warming documentary, An Inconvenient Truth, collected an Oscar for best documentary feature, but the Tennessee Center for Policy Research has found that Gore deserves a gold statue for hypocrisy. Gore’s mansion, [20-room, eight-bathroom] located in the posh Belle Meade area of Nashville, consumes more electricity every month than the average American household uses in an entire year, according to the Nashville Electric Service (NES). In his documentary, the former Vice President calls on Americans to conserve energy by reducing electricity consumption at home.The average household in America consumes 10,656 kilowatt-hours (kWh) per year, according to the Department of Energy. In 2006, Gore devoured nearly 221,000 kWh—more than 20 times the national average. Last August alone, Gore burned through 22,619 kWh—guzzling more than twice the electricity in one month than an average American family uses in an entire year. As a result of his energy consumption, Gore’s average monthly electric bill topped $1,359. Since the release of An Inconvenient Truth, Gore’s energy consumption has increased from an average of 16,200 kWh per month in 2005, to 18,400 kWh per month in 2006. Gore’s extravagant energy use does not stop at his electric bill. Natural gas bills for Gore’s mansion and guest house averaged $1,080 per month last year. “As the spokesman of choice for the global warming movement, Al Gore has to be willing to walk to walk, not just talk the talk, when it comes to home energy use,” said Tennessee Center for Policy Research President Drew Johnson.In total, Gore paid nearly $30,000 in combined electricity and natural gas bills for his Nashville estate in 2006.

It could be...you want to provide me with something other than someone's views?
See, when you go around believing others' opinions, that makes you a sheep, not a thinker. The last thing America needs is more sheep. Think and research your stuff on credible sights...and try reading up on propaganda, too.

@z0z0,
Will, the 'data' is what I see every time the idiot Gore speaks publicly. He contorts his face, deepens his voice, and uses other utterly STUPID forms of body language. He's a second-rate clown. He could at least hire a speech coach to sharpen up his presentations. He BLOWS, hard and steadily.

@z0z0,
Bias is everywhere, no matter where you go. I could say the same thing of you if you used an AP article, which has a liberal slant, but is still accepted as a news source that delivers the unadulterated news. Pollsters can tilt polls as much as they want, a little change here and there, and the outcomes are different. Statisticians can come up with numbers that are pure coincidence. Many experts do not believe in Global warming. Their expertise is not to be trusted? Everything, no matter where you go, is biased.

No, propaganda is quite different. It is presented as truth when indeed it is just a lie. Or like on FoX when Williams was given $250,000 to present a clip of scripted material as news to the Fox News program..not their first time in spreading Bush propaganda films.

It's only the wises who discern their sources for validity. You can find good arguments against democrats out there..but only if the source is good. You give nothing but propaganda and your credibility is shot.

LOL, if I'm spreading propaganda, there has to be a new term for what you're doing. Proof, or at least clarity of that statement?

Willie , I don't see that the source I supplied was not genuine enough . What else can one find but someone else's views ? The whole "carbon offset " deal is proof enough that Gore is running a scam on his followers .
what are your views on Global Warming ?

@z0z0,
Gore is an incompetent charletan. Not only is he dishonest as hell, he's obvious about it, too. He should hang a metal sign around his neck that reads, "SNAKE-OIL SALESMAN".

I laugh my arse off watching him wrinkle his face, lift a brow, drop his voice, while puffing out his chest, taking a deep breath. What a poorly skilled con-man. He's a trip to watch.

No, I mean those who have done studies on this and provide you with real information to assist you in your discussion here when you voice an opinion...or are you just voicing a Republican opinion which is, of course, not offering real information just a democrat bashing?
