Reno 911 - HUMAN EVENTS

This week, congressional Democrats vowed to investigate Attorney General Alberto Gonzales' firing of himself. Gonzales has said he was not involved in the discussions about his firing and that it was "performance-based," but he couldn't recall the specifics.

Right-wingers like me never trusted Gonzales. But watching Hillary Rodham Clinton literally applaud the announcement of Gonzales' resignation on Monday was more than any human being should have to bear. Liberals' hysteria about Gonzales was surpassed only by their hysteria about his predecessor, John Ashcroft. (Also their hysteria about Bush, Rove, Rumsfeld, Cheney, Libby, Rice, Barney and so on. They're very excitable, these Democrats.)

Liberals want to return the office to the glory years of Attorney General Janet Reno!

The Democrats have successfully taken the Legislative branch of government and transformed it into a Internal Affairs office for the Executive branch.

There's so much fishing on Capitol Hill right now the Discovery Channel wants to shoot the 3rd season of "Deadliest Catch" there

poor America, she elected them to pass legislature and they've passed even less of it then the GOP congress...

Any body that watched Gonzales testify would have to be blind to see not see he was a liar.

And I am a life long independent.

This is not about political parties , this is about liars in our government.

The Democrats are doing their duty...pursuing possible wrongdoings, crimes and misdemeanors. The Republicans have shown themselves to be morally bankrupt, and guilty of more crimes than a little bit. From the illegal and unjust war, which has needlessly cost thousands of innocent lives on both sides, to the Republican party using the Executive branch to push their agendas further and add to their secret coffers, more than any administration in history, to the disregard of the rule of law and ethics.

You know if the tables were reversed, and the Democrats were 'on the grill", there would be no talk, only "basting" and "testing for doneness"...what short memories you all have...didn't you take Clinton to the mat, for a little lying about hanky panky in the Oval Office...who died behind that caper?
Whitewater didn't pan out...and he pardoned a controversial public figure, at the end......pales in comparison to the misdeeds and crimes of this administration. Get out of OZ...it's time to wake up, Dorothy...the wicked witch was you.

As if they have nothing important to accomplish with their time. Some judges got fired... Nothing that wasn't done before and won't be done again!

Yeah, if they spend their time and resources on this they won't have to address the issue of their popularity and how high it has skyrocketed!

All governments are liars, as for Bush did he stand before the global media and say "I did not have sex with that woman"? No, but the wife of said pig is now in a position to be your next President, that's a scary thought indeed.

Oh, come on! It was more than just some judges getting fired...they were government attorneys...and they were fired for "political reasons"....they were Republicans, for goddsake, who wouldn't tow the White House line....that why they were fired....the DOJ, is supposed to be independent of the executive branch....not a patsy of it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Damn. Cannot even own up to reality and have to resort to "spin"!

Their "popularity" is dubious only because they are thwarted at every turn by the Republicans, who fail to compromise on legislation...Admittedly, the Democratic majority is razor thin, making Republican compromise a necessity...were it not so...much more would be getting done...from ending the war, to the start up of the impeachment process of both Bush and Cheney
