Oh, these are good! I feel I'm in exalted, exalted company.

Said the hare to the tortoise, "Just look at me go!
I can run much, much faster than cougar, you know!"
"But you'll tapir off, won't you?" opined the reptile
And walked off to admire the bullfinch for a while.

exalted company yourself!

As a slug I lie in the wet lettuce bed,
Emvies snail with a shelter over his head.
As a sloth I lie and doze in the tree
I guess a whale dozes himself, in the sea.

Crash Bandicoot should be
In a zo, but he
Plays PS2 with a zebra,
While porcupine serves them tuna.

a zo is not a zoo, just as a BA is not a baa!

Sing ho! for the swordfish upon my plate!
And mollusk who makes a rare playmate.
The hornet is waspish. could it bee any bigger?
And a squirrel's a grabber, collector, and digger.

The gopher hid from bloody ponces,
meerkat cast his eyes askaunces,
Lemming just jumped off a cliff,
Mole said "Wot?" and took a sniff.

"Red wattle pig, where have you been?"
Slobbered Saber-Toothed Tiger, scratching his chin
"I was cruising the Lochs," stuttered Ichthyosaur
"I saw Nessie stick her head up, most every hour

I lovethe sugar glider, it's the cutest thing out
And the potbellied pig is cute and stout.
The hedgehog, though, is overrun with fleas
And the llama makes me sneeze.

A bushbaby's eyes will make you smile
Aye-aye gives assent to stay for a while
A ring-tailed lemur has rings on his tail
The giant jumping rat makes the ladies turn pale

A cosy cat on the fluffy rug,
A faithful dog (a Peke or a Pug),
A pretty budgie so yellow and green,
A hamster completes this domestic scene.

A hare is for March, when they race all around
A coypu, I think, burrows under the ground
Flamingos are pink, and appear in a song
About pottos I know naught, but their name sounds all wrong

boa
watersnake
asp

A python slept in the cool bamboo,
And the starlet wore a boa in blue.
A watersnake is a deadly diving buddy
And an asp can result in a demise bloody.

The kittiwake roams the northern seas
The sparrow's found lots in W3
Blackbird sings in the dead of night
Herring gull's calls evoke a flight

(I must go down to the seas again,
To the lonely sea and the sky...)

Can you winkle a winkle out of a pool?
Can you force a sea urchin to go to school?
Fred Clintstone is master of the clabbaclabby-dooooo!
And a crab is great with aioli too.

The antelope plays at Home on the Range
As do barking deer, but they sure sound strange.
Tarzan's got a chimp that bears Cheetah's name
And I once had a wild dog I just couldn't tame.

Do parrots eat carrots? Do bears eat pears?
Does a hedgehog eat hot dog, does a mare eat hares?
I used to know a pig, and he was a boar,
And a swan is mean, not worth fighting for.

A foal is first wobbly, and then it gets strong
Colts frisk in the meadow the whole day long
A filly is female, a horse or a gel,
And a yearling is about one year old, they do tell
