if an atheist is kept alive (artificially) forever and tortured (everything he/she wanted, thought, or felt the opposite occurred) forever at some point in time it will want God or something like a God (beyond it) to save it? Right?
Would you believe in a God to stop continuous torture/pain?
If you can't stop it yourself or any other way wouldn't you resort to asking for someone or something else beyond you to?
Not that doing so would be successful, but that any living thing would have to ask because it is in it's own self interest to.

so , by torture , god is forced upon one ?
is that what it takes to believe in a god ? shame full
and I imagine that there are many that were tortured that do believe in god who where not rescued because they do believe in god

i would expect to be tortured until a real person or thing could intercede....the idea that magic might save me wouldnt really help me much...

Be careful with absolutes in understanding concerning what you are talking about.
I am not trying to be hateful as I am against hate, What I am trying to convey is that we all get absolutes wrong at some point in our life. Your friend. Reasoning Self Logic.
@reasoning logic,
Athiests do exist, that's their problem.

@awareness,
It's been said that there are no athiests in foxholes, but I don't know if this is true.
@reasoning logic,
Athiests do exist

Religions may tend toward dividing humanity into groups, but I really can't see where atheism has ever done anything to bring humanity together.

you can't see it because religions overwhelm athiests
@sometime sun,
Over all over everything does thieism heal mor ethan it hurts,
be honest,
weight up the contributors and the selfless
over the objectors and the selfish
What is the oposite of a conscientious objector?

That makes absolutely no sense.

That is absolute BS.
Statistically there are more religious people in prisons than non. It is not that they all of a sudden become religious while in prison. Stop spreading falseness. Nothing more annoying than a person who lies to make their religious beliefs feel better.

There are pretenders in both our fields,
overall there are more religious theist people, period.
Think about it this way, more athiests find God in prison.

let me put it this way ;
I asked about a year ago , this question ;
who believes in their own Humanity , on another site
I got an astonishingly less then 10 responses to the positive towards Humanity , collectively

That is nonsense too. You are quickly losing credit on your arguments.

why not ?
Apparently religion has brought humanity together well enough to overwhelm the atheists.

There are so many holes in that it isn't funny.
