euphemistic doublespeak became popular ever since the days when P&G introduced that "Olestra" crap. (It was a fake fat). Any bag of chips fried in olestra had the warning about severe stomach distress accompanied by a dark anal discharge.
SO we started calling thechips "Diahreetos" I think Olestra is off the market along with "CORFAM".

Olestra is still in use on some Lays chips, but the Wow chips are gone. There is also a microscopic warning on the package that olestra actually robs your body of some vitamins.

Did some research. Olean is also used in some Pringles.

my ex bought pringles, loved them. right after discovering her love of pringles she found god and ran off with a student to live in Missouri. that was over 30 years ago.
