affairs and ramifications

Far be it from me to defend a person on the other side of politics, but this is all ridiculous: http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2010/06/02/nikki-haley-denies-accusa_n_598584.html

What is going on, affair tabulation, those less caught, winning? Yes, I get it, there can be influence. I didn't agree with that lover back then and voted opposite.

Is it not possible we can grow up?

I had one affair in my late twenties, when single, with a married guy, for which I am famous to myself for not being sorry, though I generally think it's not a good idea. I spent a quarter century faithful to my husband, when maybe I should have left, if only for financial reasons.

Well, maybe people in politics flirt around for policy reasons, but no one I have known in politics has done that - though I gather it can happen.

I don't get it, we want neo virgins in our oval or rectangular offices?

If this woman is a poor choice, let it be on issues.

@ossobuco,
I think it's only because politicians react like they've done something irredeemably evil...whereas big Arnie happily admitted to making a porno and having a 3 some and still became governor of California.

It is really silly that some people think that your sex life has anything to do with your ability to govern (unless your sex life if criminal that is)

@vikorr,
So, we agree on that.

I think it is a very strange distraction - easier and more fun to think about than issues with details.

I did have a work associate, years ago, who hated Martin Luther King because he was a 'womanizer'.

@vikorr,
I think that was Sly. They were showing an early film for $1,000 a head, and he said that back when it was made he would have showed up in person for that kind of money.

@roger,
I may agree w/ Vik on that. Arnie at the time was a neighborhood guy, and I remember some seamy stuff, but not the details. I'm sure we have a thread or two on it here, as I remember arguing with Lightwizard about him. Of course, I'm a dem.

Interesting, I may look back and see myself slamming him re women. Or, not.
