My dad doesn't want to talk or see me since 5 years ago and I happen to be in a foster home. I have left messages, but he didn't return my calls. Do you think this would affect any of my future male relationships?
It may; but you can realize that:
1. All men are not the same.
2. you are not responsible for your birth father's actions or inactions.
3. people have issues/demons in their lives that cause them to not be able to reach out to anyone else.
4. you have the capability to choose healthy relationships (male and female) if you know yourself and your needs.
Good luck. I know this hurts and is confusing to you, but try to get your "daddy needs" from an uncle, pastor, grandfather, step-dad or other adult male.

agreed and also is there a counselor that you work with? If so, let them know how you feel and your concerns.
