@aidan,

It takes quite a lot of time to measure and fit a custom-made suit.
No; for a new tailor, if I wanna try a new one in another city,
measurement is within half an hour. When I return to my principal tailor,
he
already has all of my measurements, knows the concealed vest pocket, etc.
Its only a matter of
choice of materials for the new suits
(unless I 've put on too much weight, requiring re-measurement).

Thay already
have the measurements, monogram; I need only call and give a credit card # on the fone. Thay send the shirts.

Goes on from there to
where ??
I buy ties off the rack.

The girl of my dreams, named Joyce, with whom I was heavily obsessed since age 13 for several decades, took that vu also.
When I got back with her after an absence of 20 years (she was divorcing), I made a point of wearing my very best suit, shirt n tie.
She subsequently suggested that I buy jeans; I did.
