Osso should like this one, being architecturistic an' all.

"Anyone wanting to live on the edge need look no further - architects have designed a cliff house. The five storey modular home is inspired by the way barnacles cling to the hull of a ship, and was developed to hang off the side of a cliff as opposed to sitting on top of it. Australian design company Modscape say the design, aptly entitled Cliff House, is a theoretical response to clients who have approached them to "explore design options for extreme parcels of coastal land in Australia". A spokesman says: "The home is visualised as a natural extension of the cliff face rather than an addition to the landscape, creating an absolute connection with the ocean.".......

@Lordyaswas,
limestone yeeech. Its perhaps the best sed rock for physical weathering, but the WORST when it comes to chemical eathering.
I imagine the rock bolts that hold that thing in the cliff, need to be monitored continuously. I hope the bolts are really high 318 stainless or some moly steel.
I dont think I could sleep in that place. Its only a matter of when the damn thing kisses the beach.

@Lordyaswas,
Quite the opposite, Lordy. I despise that stuff. I refused a job in LA that required designing involving a cantilevered pool. Asshole idea, whether or not it would somehow work. I doubt that happened, given the primary folk, but never followed it up to inquire.
I also just plain hate the Havupai glass walk over the Colorado.

My ideas re architecture may be different.

These all from SFgate's Day in Pictures

Just a little turbulence, folks. Nothing to worry about: A plane flies over the erupting Bardarbunga volcano as it spews lava in southeast Iceland. Bardarbunga, at 2,000 meters (6,500 feet), is Iceland's second-highest peak and is located under Europe's largest glacier, Vatnajoekull. (caption)
