This is a test to see how I can post a photo here. The subject is a Tawny-bellied Hermit, a hummingbird I photographed in Colombia.

@Pitter,
Gorgeous.

The deal is, whatever your source, that the paramaters read like this:

[img][/img]

Not sure this will show..

In the first one, you tell your width. Me, I've found the max width is slightly over 900, so I use 900 and sometimes make it quite less - that is just the largest.

@ehBeth,
Thanks very much! I am using the 800x size option from Flicker. Seems to work ok.

@Pitter,
Very pretty. Excellent work, catch-light in the eye, no distracting hot spots, background knocked down tastefully and tack sharp, too.

@Pitter,
In fact, I'd categorize that as National Geographic level quality.

@Pitter,
Are you happy with Flicker? I'm going to be looking for a place to put my painting photos one of these days..
Not to put you on the spot, don't feel you have to answer.

Did you see this bird in Columbus, Ohio?

@ossobuco,
Yes I'm very happy with it. I used to use Photobucket but there was always some quality (sharpness) lost when I uploaded images to forums. Same with Tinypic but I don't lose anything at all when posting from Flicker and it's really user friendly to boot.

@Pitter,
The current generation of Flickr is very good. I'd forgotten I had an account there - back in the days when there was a 200 free photo limit. Rediscovered my account and am enjoying the improvements they've made there.

@Setanta,
No, not exactly. It was quite a bit beyond the city limits...

@ehBeth,
Thanks all. I have had some mild cloud about some kind of flicker ownership to show that I read now years ago, and whatever that was, I didn't save or lost it.
What I left after reading made me wonder.

@ossobuco,
I put off looking into Flicker for a long time because I had Photobucket but I got more and more frustrated because I uploaded perfectly good, sharp photos but they would post "soft". Some one told me your photos will post "as uploaded" with Flicker and by golly they were right.

@Pitter,
Thanks. At some point photobucket small-ized some fraction of my photos, including those of a loved a2k person's paintings.

I won't trust them after that.
