Why is this conversation happening?

So, I'm walking through the living room, and Wally's watching Good Fellas.
It's a scene where they've got all this cocaine spread out on a table, cutting it with a playing card.

Now, I've been married to Wally for over 16 years, and I can safely say he's never done coke during that time.

As I'm passing by, I ask "Did you ever do coke at all?"

yea....a couple of times.....too expensive.....can't do it now anyway with my heart....

"Oh darn, I'd planned on getting all jacked up with you tonight. I wonder if I can return it?"
