@sozobe,
Soz,
Will be moving back to San Antonio after I get my Masters done in Spring '11, but until then will be in Leesville, Louisiana, which is about a 5-6 hour drive from San Antonio.

@Ionus,
lol
Oh, he is a bundle of energy most of the time...
and if you could have seen him zipping to and fro when he was a kitten, you'd see why the moniker...

@snood,
Snood, you have TEN kitties and cats right now? We did that once, ended up with 13. Very expensive to have them spayed and neutered.
I'm partial to the grey striped with the white face. Too cute. Good luck to you, but I'm sure you won't have any problem finding homes. Especially since kittens are "out of season" right now.

@Pemerson,
Actually with the momma cat, her 4 kitties, and our 4 regular cats, its 12 altogether.

But who's counting? Laughing

If this one ended up on my doorstep, I'd have to accept his intrusion into my home (and heart).

Man, these kittens are getting stronger and faster and funnier every day. We've got 3 of them homes so far (just trying to make sure they eat solid food before we let 'em go), and we know which are girls and boys. They all have distinct personalities - that's a fascinating thing, in itself. I tried to get sort of portrait shots of each one, to varying degrees of success. A couple of them don't like being held, and those pictures are the blurriest. There's one of the momma ,too.

My favorite, the runt female:

Black and white male, with bug eyes:

Mellow Yellow male:

Wild Yellow male (does NOT want his picture taken):

Beauty light calico female:

@snood,
You're doing a terrific job with those kittens, snood & Cheryl! Smile

Snood, I know you're finding homes for the kittens, but is anyone going to adopt the mother cat? I hope so!

@msolga,
Msolga,
It's one of our main goals, to get momma adopted out. She's such a loving, gentle cat. And very young, so she'd have a lot to give someone...

@snood,
I so hope you can, snood. Good luck!
If I was in your neighbourhood & didn't already have a cat, honestly, I wouldn't hesitate to adopt her. She looks a really lovely cat. (My last cat "adoption" was 3 years old at the time. She has been a wonderfully loyal, sensible & fun addition to my home.)

So sweet!

Are you going to keep your favorite?

@sozobe,
No, we really have to let our 4 cats be the limit of permanent cats for now...

I wish it were different with my situation. I would love to have the calico, but could not because I live in a neighborhood in which cats don't last long out of doors and I have a dog that would not tolerate it inside.

Just FYI - We've now adopted out all but one kitten and the momma cat. It was hardest to see the runt go. I had to struggle with the fact that I saw the young woman who took her as sort of ditzy - Cheryl and I decided we didn't have the luxury of trying to sort of strictly screen everyone who stepped up to adopt. .. good enough that we tried to find them all good homes...

We are thinking about keeping the momma cat (yup that would make FIVE in our house) if no one adopts her. It's that or turn her over to the shelter, and I don't think that's a real option for our two goofy soft hearts.
