She does nothing except complaining.

Are both sentences correct?

I suppose they are both correct; however, i would not expect a native speaker to use the second sentence.

I agree that the second is less likely. If and when used I'd say it sounds like,


She does nothing except ... complaining [complaining complaining].

@JTT,
I should have said "I agree that the second is less likely for this particular collocation.

"nothing but ___ing" is certainly in use.
