Saudis to execute TV Psychic for Sorcery

...The progressive and modernized Sunni Muslim Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, owned and operated by the exalted and celebrated royal family of King Abdullah, will execute Lebanese citizen and former television star Ali Hussein Sibat Thursday " for the crime of Sorcery. Yes. You read that correctly " sorcery " as in witchcraft. According to the L.A. Times, it’s quite common for sorcerers to be executed as Infidels in the Magical Kingdom.

Sibat got himself into a jam with The World of Islam and the Saudi authorities by appearing as a very popular psychic on the Sheherezade satellite network out of Lebanon. The station’s ratings went through the roof when he began making his predictions on the air. Alas, while he was on a pilgrimage to Medina in 2008 the Saudi religious police arrested Sibat, and a Mecca Court sentenced him to death for witchcraft.
