@spendius,

Your second sentence is not worth bothering with. Blurts are not debate points.

Silly Spendius that was not a blurt but a question! I was not debating only asking a question because that is all I have is questions!

David Barton Says Founding Fathers Settled Evolution Debate
www.politicususa.com
Barton: Founding Fathers already had the entire debate over creation and evolution 13 years before Lamarck introduced it to the world, and 72 years before Darwin's Origin of the Species...

You might as well ask them of a gatepost as ask them on here rl. A gatepost will speak to you just as meaningfully as I can when your mind is closed.

This is what you asked--

Quote:
What do the theist have to accept that his or her thoughts are like? Like a god or someone in a disillusioned state?

And it was explained to you previously that with a certain sort of science, the materialist theory of mind, the theist has to accept that they are material objects. It's a circular argument. The idea that they are immaterial is off the materialist's agenda. Obviously.

It was a blurt.

@spendius,
rl--when in history do you think would have been the best time for full-blown atheistic materialism to take the world by storm as one might expect it should do seeing as what a brilliant idea it is.

The correct answer is, of course, when you reached puberty.

@edgarblythe,
I never went to picnics that attracted flies. Are they any good? And you did post ed without attracting any flies. It was rl who did that. Your post attracted **** all.

@edgarblythe,
Maybe that clown can explain how Thomas Paine was a "founding father." He was not a member of the Continental Congress. He was not a delegate to the constitutional convention. He was never a member of the United States government. He wrote a pamphlet

@Setanta,
I never realized that one had to meet one or all of those guidelines to be a "founding father".

Haven't you ever noticed what a dumb appellation that is?

That is about as real as it gets or should I say that this is a video that is more intellectually honest with its viewers?

@littlek,
I have seen the same thing studying anthropology, "that is the authors of the bible most likely suffered from a mental illness.
In my opinion if the truth was known, "their followers were even worse of then them!
Would that not only be logical?

I honestly believe, the reason people go to church to pray... they link their priest to a God --- like the priest being the mouth piece on a phone... direct line to their particular Goddess-God

@tenderfoot,
Maybe, some people may look at the Pope in that way; a direct link to their god.

@tenderfoot,
Why are you telling us this? See the thread post.

We may or may not agree with you, but the thread is about what us atheists deal with and how we do that.

This may not be clear as others post a great deal, so just look back at the first page.

There are many threads on a2k about religion. Just look them up on the right of new posts, and add in the word 'religion'.

This tread seems to be about allot more than just that and littlek has shown this with her last post

You seem as though you may be a little obsessed with the first post also correcting other people and letting them know what they should not be writing about.

Have you ever heard of OCPD? I think that we all have traits of it and some of us seem to have allot more of these traits than others!

OCPD The right stuff
