@Ionus,
Lies, avoidance and an obsessive fascination with rape scenarios. You've got a lot to work on, young man. Remember, you've got kids. Get some help.

@cicerone imposter,
Hey, Female Impersonator, I have a question for you...ever heard of the rule of law, crimes against humanity and the United Nations ? No ? How about murder ? Still nothing ?

I suggest you read your own posts . Breasts being cut off, rape, rapacious troops, etc....I know they are very repetitive and boring not to mention hysterically inaccurate, but read them anyway...they are quite funny ! I am the one who pointed out your obsession and you think it is mine ? Good comeback...

I thought this was interesting. On the heels of DADT becoming a thing of the past, some atheists in the military want to "come out" as well.

Quote:
RALEIGH, N.C. — The cliche notwithstanding, there are atheists in foxholes.

In fact, atheists, agnostics, humanists and other assorted skeptics from the Army's Fort Bragg have formed an organization in a pioneering effort to win recognition and ensure fair treatment for nonbelievers in the overwhelmingly Christian U.S. military.

"We exist, we're here, we're normal," said Sgt. Justin Griffith, chief organizer of Military Atheists and Secular Humanists, or MASH. "We're also in foxholes. That's a big one, right there."

For now, the group meets regularly in homes and bars outside of Fort Bragg, one of the biggest military bases in the country. But it is going through the long bureaucratic process to win official recognition from the Army as a distinct "faith" group.

That would enable it to meet on base, advertise its gatherings and, members say, serve more effectively as a haven for like-minded soldiers.

"People look at you differently if you say you're an atheist in the Army," said Lt. Samantha Nicoll, a West Point graduate who in January attended her first meeting of MASH. "That's extremely taboo. I get a lot of questions if I let it slip in conversation." More

@reasoning logic,
It's interesting that they want atheism recognized as a "faith" group.

@JPB,
That is interesting. Maybe in a couple of hundred years an acknowledged atheist will become president without that being a factor re votes.

@JPB,
I would prefer agnosticism but you do have to start some where! Do not get me wrong because I do think that atheist may have the correct answers concerning god but I try to be open minded about my OCPD traits! LOL

@ossobuco,
I do hope you are correct it does seem that way!
I very well may be wrong but if that happens several times in a row I would not doubt that poverty would also be a thing that would be close to the past also and then many of the psychological problems that we have in our communities will also be reduced to a fraction of what they are now!

@failures art,
Been searching around have you fa? You know where to look don't you?

Does it never strike you that looking in places where you know what you will find puts a set of buffers up for your education?

@spendius,
Spendius if you do not share with us your point of view of where we can find what would be consider to be a truthful news source to you, how are we suppose to get there?
Not all of us have figured out that telepathic thing you were talking about the other day!!

@reasoning logic,
It wasn't a point of view rl. I didn't make any judgments about whether buffers on an education are a good thing or a bad in this case.

The only truthful news sources I know are those the English speaking world has chosen for me by making their names famous. I don't do fads.

Apart from frilly, black lingerie.

@reasoning logic,
News as reports of incidents or as guides to underlying trends? I should think their reports of football results are reliable.

I had in mind those authors whose manuscripts and letters are bought by universties and used as justification for departmental specialisation.

Biblical studies for example. The University of Buffalo has a collection of James Joyce material. Also the university of Wisconsin. One letter from Joyce to Nora Barnacle was sole at auction for $440,000.

It was area fire that happened to hit you.....what can I say...collateral damage . If I had bothered to check who wrote the original post I would probably have made it clearer that I didnt think of you in that light .
