Sitting on the Couch Napping
Not working myself, so I won't do me, but this morning I friended someone from Australia on FB and he described his job at the slaughterhouse as:
Lifting pigs up for money.
Joe('bout says it, eh?)Nation
Keeping computers working for Luddites.
Creating Eden in a backyard.
Waiting for customer calls.
Lab work = running experiments.
Landscape architecture = playing with pencils.
Or, staring at space.
Or... designing a place.
Gallery owning = placing pictures coherently.
Walking on a great treadmill.
Without the fun.
(I am tired and depressed at the moment.)
hurry up and wait. immediately
Decide news fit to print.
Redundant workshops and bureaucratic paperwork.
Get approval for process improvement
finding a bunch of guys who dress alike and then follow them around all day.
A high school teacher I once worked with described the job as:
"Casting pearls before swine"
.....with the caveat that "The pearls were sometimes artificial, but the swine were always real".
Herding cats and pulling spam.
