Bernie asked if I would share this with you but I told him that you may not be interested in it as you had no interest in my last question I asked you.

@reasoning logic,
Yes, many people are working hard, but they're not trying hard enough to get the proper education to earn a decent living. The US (and many other countries) offer opportunities to everybody. People need to begin looking within rather than without.

Not all people have the cognitive ability that you have. Do they add any less value to our society? Some of these people work a lot harder than many who make much more than they do.

@reasoning logic,
You don't have to tell me what I have lived. When we were children, we worked on farms to earn money for our family during the summer. My older brother became an attorney, my younger brother became a doctor, and my sister became an RN.

Very true and I am not trying to do so. I am happy to hear that you and your siblings have good cognitive skills. Is this true with all of your distant family members? Do any of them have problems with cognitive ability?

@reasoning logic,
Not that I'm aware of. On my younger brother's side, his oldest daughter is also an Ophthalmologist, and younger daughter has a PhD in Special Education. His son was an Attorney, but passed away some years ago. My sister's oldest son is a Doctor, second son is a Dentist, and youngest daughter has a PhD in Chemistry. Our son earned his graduate degree from the University of Texas in Austin, and is now employed there. I was never close to my older brother, because he always tormented me when we were young, so I don't know much about any of his many children.

You seem to be sharing with me what I would call a cluster b personality disorder. Your older brother seems to me to be cluster b "maybe border line or antisocial. I am not trying to put your brother down no more than I would put down a black widow spider for being programed to kill her mate.

We are not all created as equal as we may have been taught.
Some of your decedents will be like your brother and some will be at the opposite end of the spectrum closer to you. Life is not a utopia but the more we understand behavioral health the better we may possibly be.

@reasoning logic,
I don't think so.
Quote:
Cluster B personality disorders are a categorization of personality disorders as defined in the DSM-IV and DSM-5.[1] There are four recognized Cluster B personality disorders:

Antisocial personality disorder (DSM-IV code 301.7): a pervasive disregard for the law and the rights of others.
Borderline personality disorder (DSM-IV code 301.83): extreme "black and white" thinking, instability in relationships, self-image, identity and behavior often leading to self-harm and impulsivity.
Histrionic personality disorder (DSM-IV code 301.50): pervasive attention-seeking behavior including inappropriately seductive behavior and shallow or exaggerated emotions.
Narcissistic personality disorder (DSM-IV code 301.81): a pervasive pattern of grandiosity, need for admiration, and a lack of empathy.

I'm an extrovert with many friends around the world including Russia, Africa, Europe, and Cuba. I have traveled to 90 countries with many repeats. I've always been a "law abiding citizen" of this country, and have served four years in the USAF. Was promoted to E4 in 18 months. (* The average is 26 months.)

I worked for Florsheim Shoe Company after graduation from college, and was promoted to Audit Manager after 3.5 years working as a Field Auditor in the Seven Western States.

I worked as a Consultant for small businesses for about ten years meeting all manners of management and their associates. I have done training for management staff at a company with 100 employees.

Please be as specific as you can be with me. Personally you have seemed to be very close to cluster b to me and I do not mean this in a negative way,

I at times give the benefit of the doubt and I do know that I may be wrong at times.

@reasoning logic,
Antisocial personality disorder (DSM-IV code 301.7): a pervasive disregard for the law and the rights of others. ** The only law I have broken is speed laws.

Borderline personality disorder (DSM-IV code 301.83): extreme "black and white" thinking, instability in relationships, self-image, identity and behavior often leading to self-harm and impulsivity.
** I have been married to one woman for over 50 years. We have raised two above average sons.

Histrionic personality disorder (DSM-IV code 301.50): pervasive attention-seeking behavior including inappropriately seductive behavior and shallow or exaggerated emotions.
** I don't even know what this is talking about. "Pervasive attention-seeking behavior?"

Narcissistic personality disorder (DSM-IV code 301.81): a pervasive pattern of grandiosity, need for admiration, and a lack of empathy.
** I don't have any pattern that attracts attention to myself.

I think reasoning logic has very little logic on this topic.

@cicerone imposter,
I just think he's being very nosy. Family dynamics are complicated. It's not exactly a shocker that some siblings don't care to spend time with each other, especially after our parents are gone.

Cluster b disorders as with all disorders are not black and white. "they are on a spectrum" There is nothing anywhere on earth or in outer space that is identical, even though some things come extremely close in appearance.

We all have traits of these disorders.

Would you consider yourself as being very close to ocpd?
