This is a great "non religious" way to help people.

I say non religious because everyone knows these religions funnel monies donated to them to feed the poor and use them to fight marriage equality, universal healthcare and deprive women of their right to choose. This is clearly seen in the religious right standing so firmly behind the conservative right wing of politics. In other words religions are so political instead of humanitarian these days. All based on dark age interpretations of a barbaric book written by the unenlightened and chauvinistic.
