Why do cats bellow and run around like maniacs after using the litter tray?

@shewolfnm,
Indeed!!!

Feels good to all of us....but we don't generally spring off the throne, yelling our heads off!

@dlowan,
We don't, and neither has any cat I've ever shared space with. There have been very few times in my life when I've been catless, too.

Well, they're all different. I suppose that defines catness.

@roger,
Perhaps living with a rat has put them off their game?

I've never had a cat that bellowed, but they do sort of "explode" out of the litter box after taking a dump. Very frisky. We joke that they feel like they've just lost five pounds. Laughing

Yay!! I'm not mad!!!
I didn t get mad at them either,
but I got them neutered.

you know, I'm laying here in bed about ready to fall asleep and it just came to me. They do this, because the toilet lid fell down and smashed their tender parts....

Never heard of such a thing either. Mine don't, and like ehBeth, are private and quiet.

@OmSigDAVID,
OMG my under two year old neutered male cat did that. He acted like a crazed Cheetah. I thought he must have something wrong will his bowls and checked with the vet. Vet said any stimulation can cause a young male cat to act in that manner.
