A regional brewery in Quedlinburg, in the Harz mountains, produces two beers with extraordinary names, even for Germans:
Pubarschknall ("Pooparsebang") a brown beer, and Knuttenforz ("knout fart"), a black beer.
The reason for those names: the beer was delivered in open barrels ("containers") on a regular basis and routine tours by carriages to the customers/pubs. It wasn't 'ripe', had to be bottled or stored in proper, closed barrels for some time.
The coachmen announced the arrival by making loud bangs with their whips.
Some thirsty persons drank the beer as soon as they got it ... getting later some louder results ...
It's different today - even some A2K'ers noticed that (the beers are kind of 'usual', nothing extraordinary)
