Trying a Californian beer, Anderson Valley brewery and their Anderson Valley's Kimmie The Yink and The Holy Gose Ale. Damn good sourness! Wonderful and refreshing!

That one beer I drank last night had one really really really long name.

@tsarstepan,
I can't say how good the beer is in Spain, but by world standards, I can say it's in the top 75%, and the price is in the top 10% of affordability. Their wines are also very good, and reasonably priced. The "funny" thing about Spain is their poor economy, but restaurant food is quite pricey. Food prices in supermarkets are excellent; some things like prawns cost about 50% of US prices.

@tsarstepan,
Old news for other peeps. New news to me.

Against Hoppy Beer:
The craft beer industry’s love affair with hops is alienating people who don’t like bitter brews.

@tsarstepan,
It's flowery, (and it's called bitter for a reason.)

Maybe we should go back to using wormwood.

@izzythepush,
I prefer worms wart soup to worm wood.

Right now, I'm trying my first Sam Adams. Cherry wheat. Not too bitter. But I still don't care for it. Not sweet and/or sour enough for my taste. I'll give the rest of the six pack to my flatmate.

I've been on a roll, lately, finding some really awesome stouts/porters. This coffee stout is extremely good! So smooth - no bitterness. Tasted chocolate milk to go along with the coffee.

@Ticomaya,
This doesn't qualify as beer anymore, Tico. Real beer is always German ...being the best goes without saying.

@CalamityJane,
I'm part German, so I'm not going to argue with you, CJ. But we don't follow the Reinheitsgebot here! Over the last 10 years, my tastes have switched from lager to more bitter ales and dark beer.

@Ticomaya,
Yeah, that's why I get a headache from American beer and none from German beer - Reinheitsgebot!! Dark beer is good though, I like that too, like the Belgian ones that are a tad sweeter.
