@Ticomaya,
Quote:
Leinenkugel's main shandy is its "Summer Shandy," which is lemonade and (wheat) beer.

I have had that and had no idea it was lemonade and beer - not much of a label reader either obviously.

From what I remember Shandy was what the girls ordered in the pub.
I didn't care for it much

@panzade,
I have an occasional one (ice cold, home mixed, 50/50 lager, lemonade) on a hot day when I'm thirsty and don't want to get tiddly as I'm driving later on.

It quenches the thirst, but makes me belch loud enough to wake the neighbours.

@Lordyaswas,
I picked up 5 really good beer glasses at the booty for 50p. This is my favourite.

I got some of the beer to go with it. I'm having it now.

@izzythepush,
I really like that monk stuff......and Orval, Leffe......any of those weird and wonderful 'artisan' brews. It has to be ice cold though.

Enjoy!

@Lordyaswas,
I have a cold kitchen, so it's below room temperature but not ice cold. I've just had one of these, http://redsalehouse.com/files/2012/05/Westmalle-Tripel.jpg, and I'm just about to have one of these. http://blogs.browardpalmbeach.com/cleanplatecharlie/ChimayBL.gif

Then I'll call it a day. I take an almost childish enjoyment out of drinking beer from a glass specifically designed for said beer. So far it's worked out at 10p per glass, (beer cost a bit more though.)

@izzythepush,
That was a good buy. I usually buy these glasses when they have the presentation pack offers, and they work out a lot more than 10p.

Like you, when it comes to these beers, I get an extra kick by using the appropriate glass. Bruges.....Moules Frite in the sun, cold belgian beer in its own glass....a perfect luchtime, if you're ever that way.

@Lordyaswas,
The Chimay is particularly lovely. I like booties, I just bought a painting for a fiver, by the same artist who painted this.

I think this just sold for US$450, quite a bit more than a fiver.

@izzythepush,
Blimey!

How early do you get there?

By the time I usually arrive, all that's left are the electric tin openers and foot spas from the 1980's.

@Lordyaswas,
Normally around 8am. The trick is choose something dealers aren't interested in. Most are after gold, military, or Art Deco porcelain/china. Very few bother with Art. The secret is only buy original Art, and look at the back of the painting, if it's been framed by a gallery, chances are it's worth something.

My rules are, if no gallery, always pay less than £5. If there is a gallery sticker, pay as much as £5, or, in extremely exceptional circumstances, £10, never any more than that.

I have a beautiful painting in my lounge that cost £1.50.

Go for the house clearance guys, they normally have a lorry/van and all manner of stuff.

@izzythepush,
Cool glasses. I have very little room for same and would, no doubt, quickly chip whichever one I chose to sip.

@neologist,
I have broken plenty in my time. Unless I'm prepared to lock them away, and I'm not, these are living on borrowed time.

Here are the other two. No beer this time, I've had enough, time for bed.

@panzade,
Just out of interest, Pan, how can there be a black or dark IPA, when the PA stands for Pale Ale?

Most strange, but probably quite drinkable all the same.
