Just as I typed that, it started to rain again! Honestly, I'm not making this up! Now the sky is clouding over again, like someone just turned off the lights. Mad weather!

Oh. Not so perfekt in the 'best city in the world, if you discount the crappy weather'. Ha!

Now, unlike other folks I didn't wait for the explanation. What the hell am I gonna do with all these "Show us yer zills!!" T-shirts?

@pragmatic,
I know, pragmatic! The storm damage in SE Qld looks diabolical! Sad

You are more than welcome to post your accounts here & share your experiences ... anything to do with Oz & our experiences (or lack of) rain is welcome. (Come to think of it, rain & anywhere!)

Mother Nature always reclaims herself. Those that have lost their connection to the Mother are the problem, not the solution.

@msolga,
Brisbane. Its nice and sunny here now. The floods last week did some pretty substantial damage. The Brisbane River is a disgusting brown puddle because of all the sediment

@pragmatic,
So the onslaught is over?
No more waves of wild weather predicted in the immediate future?

@msolga,
fresh off the news - just when I was expecting warmer weather - the reports today that there is more rain and storm for the rest of this week. Nothing as wild as the last storm that made the news headlines.

@pragmatic,
What a shame we can't swap weather for the week! Though our forecast looks pretty mild, too, actually. Doesn't sound like much in the way of the rains we need, though ....

@Ticomaya,
PHX is Phoenix, Ticomaya? So you're experiencing drought conditions there, too? If so, has it reached the (household) water rationing stage yet? Or early days still?

A muggy 3oc degrees here today. More like the tropics than Melbourne in November. Sticky, uncomfortable & very tiring. Kids in class wriggling around in their seats, tired & cranky. "I feel sick, miss!" ... "Can I go outside & get a drink of water, miss?" ... "I can't do this, miss. It's too hard!" (Meaning the class work) A loooooong, hard day!

Then, a short while ago, just after I got home ... Thunder! And lightning! Absolutely deafening! The skies opened & it rained like crazy ... for fully 5 minutes. Some hail, too. Then it stopped. Just like that! All over for today? Is that all there is?

@msolga,
Yes, we are in a drought. But we are a city in a desert, so it's not unusual. We have a large water supply, so no rationing.
