@dlowan,
You're right. That's where he lost them, alright, Deb!

That's a delightful, very funny thread, by the way!

@Seed,
Oh Dude Seed! <<<sigh>>> Not a good way to end the year! <<<sigh>>>
Maybe it's karma's way in setting you up for a M. Night Shyamalan like twist of a New Year's Eve and a very good turn of events ((finger's crossed for ya!))

So keep your chin up and we'll keep you company (at least as much as we can via the virtual a2k distances and such)....

Damn, Seed. Next time you do some last minute Christmas shopping, be sure you're wearing your body armor!

Are you in a VA hospital? What are your recovery plans? Anyone there to take care of you when you first go home? Might be a good time to go home and let mom dote over you for a week or so.

How was your holiday? Did you get to spend some time with your kid?

@Seed,
I suspect she was somewhat distracted.

@Butrflynet,
I was actually at the mall picking things up for a visit that I was about to make tomorrow to go see her.

No not in a va hospital. the closest one is over 2 hours away and from what everyone says it's not that serious. I could be wrong, who knows.

Recovery Plans? They have been talking about physical therapy so I am sure that is gonna be talked about tomorrow.

@djjd62,
I used to design smallish - well, sometimes not all that small - parking lots and they always made me nervous for liability reasons. I was a berserko city ordinance follower on those (at the least). I too always park away from the herd. Not that that is any guarantee, idiots can find you..

When I had surgery, thay gave me pain killing drugs.
I did not feel much different; hardly worth the effort.

@Seed,
You spent all that time in Iraq and now you're in the hospital because some woman couldn't wait to buy tinsel at 75% off ! Oh the irony.

Hope you feel better soon, soldier.

Hope you're feeling better soon, Seed. (Now you know why your mom always says to wear clean underwear -- especially if you're not wearing PANTS!)

Yes; I never had any pain, except at first, when an M.D. shoved in
a Foley urinary catheter while I was still awake; that hurt.

There was a 10 inch open wound for a long time, but no pain.
