@Green Witch,
Thank you so much, Green Witch. It's been a tough year (losing my job due to Economics), and I've felt crabbier and more discouraged than usual in the past few months.

Watching Charlotte Play has been a wonderful Christmas Present for me. OK, well, watching all 3 dogs & 3 cats play, and eat num-num treats, really cheered me up yesterday (Christmas Day).

@BorisKitten,
I miss her.

This past January (2011), Charlotte staggered, pooped on the floor, and lost the use of her back legs at 8:00 AM one day.

We took her to the vet and she died in the lobby of the vet's office.

We always knew she had a very severe heart murmur; she apparently had a heart attack that day.

Only 2 1/2 hours after showing symptoms of any kind, Charlotte was buried in the ground. She had a wonderful 2+ years with us, here in the Pet Spa.

@BorisKitten,
Aw, Boris, I'm sorry.

It is good, I guess, that her pain was relatively short term.

@BorisKitten,
BK, it is very good to hear from you again. (I was wondering where you'd gotten to.)
But very sad that it is under these circumstances.
I am so sorry to hear that Charlotte has died (& the circumstances in which she died), but I promise you, the time she spent with you was the best time of her life.
Good for you for giving her those good years. And also the good years you've provided for the rest of your critter family at the Pet Spa.

@msolga,
Ah, Hello to you my dear (fellow dog/cat lover). I still miss Little Charlotte. Our other 2 dogs, Poo and Stimpy, are old and ill as well. Poo is on about 8 meds per day. Stimpy is 12 now, and has had two instances of "Idiopathic Vestibular Syndrome." That means she loses her balance suddenly, and staggers about like a drunken thing unless we hook a towel under her front arms and help her around.

It's sad.

I've told my husband we need a puppy (from our local shelter, of course).

Our potbellied pig is 15 1/2 years old as well (Vet says expected life for them is 12-14 years) and can hardly stand up for his arthritis.

Anyway, my dear, just a little rant and response for you. BTW, Happy, Boris Kitten, and Nut (little wild cat) are all fine and well!

It is sad, BK.
When dearly loved pets become old & ill.
It's sad enough when it's happening with just one of them, but 3 is very tough .... Big commiserating sigh. Sad

However, delighted to hear that Happy, Boris Kitten, and Nut are all fighting fit!
Any chance of some new photographs? When you have the time, of course.

(How is your work situation these days, BK?
I do hope things have improved for you!)
