SHOUD EVA BRAUN HAVE REJECTED & SCORNED
MARRIAGE TO HITLER ON APRIL 28, 1945?

Think about it:
thru YEARS of their relationship,
he refused to marry her when that woud have elevated her in esteem.

Then only a few hours before the communist army
was about to overrun Berlin THEN he offers it to her !!!

It seems to me that he was contemptuously throwing her a bone -- totally WORTHLESS.

Since thay were both at death 's door anyway,
it seems to me that she shoud have saved face
by REJECTING Hitler with disdain and spitting on him.
He offered her an honor when it was time to DIE n had no value,
just in time to become a charred corpse on the ground.
Eva shoud have cursed him!

So far as I can see,
marriage then for only a few hours had no merits, no benefit for her.

WHATAYATHINK ?

The marriage actually took place on April 29, 1945. Why would she reject him when she had waited most of her life to marry him?

If she was going to reject him she would have done it years before rather than marry him and then take the poison to kill her.

To answer your question.... I would say no.

Because by waiting so long,
he rendered it worthless, IT DEPRECIATED,
as if u won hundred$ of million$s of dollars on the last day or 2
of your life. U 'd not be able to enjoy it, without enuf time.

Y? Years before, there was a continuing chance
that she coud have had many years of married life
and she did not then know that he was going to lose the war.

The whole point is that in order
to be able to enjoy anything of value,
u need to have enuf time, or its just a waste.

So what if she didn't marry him before. They lived together for some 17 years already. The same as marriage - almost.

What does time have to do with appreciating or enjoying anything?

At least you haven't brought guns into it......yet.

I don 't care whether thay get married or not.
Its not on my radar.

As to the reason
that he sought to reward her loyalty the way that he did,
to me it seemed that he was just throwing salt and dirt into her wound
to do it without giving her the time to enjoy it; almost sadistic.

Of course there is a gun in the story - David just has not brought it out yet.

Eva Braun first attempted suicide on 1 November 1932 at the age of 20 by shooting herself in the chest with her father's pistol.She did this to get the attention of Hitler, hoping to arise his protective side. It worked. After Braun's recovery, Hitler became more committed to her.
Later as there were problems in their relationship she tried to commit suicide again - same reason as above.
