You do know I was commenting on the possible confusion of political left and right, don't you?

I once had an explanation of parliment from an Australian. Being a glutton for punishment, I also asked about the game of cricket. I have done learn my lesson. You are the last people on earth I would ask directions of.

@Ionus,
Look at both hands. Where the thumb points to the right is your left side.
It is soooo easy.

@ebrown p,
Maybe I have to explain some Swedish to you that Robertson does not know.
We call everybody a refugee no matter if they are really refugees or illigal emmigrants.
Non caucation Swedish citizens we call Swedes with foreign background
I have even seen Swedes being called Swedes with Swedish background
A Swedish citizen born in France by French parents we would call French .
A French citizen with Swedish parents we would never call a foreigner with 'Swedish background. We would say s/he has Swedish parents.

My blond and blue eyed father was not Swedish, so when I among friends say I am a Swede with foreign background people just scream of laughter because of the PC that we are not allowed to say "S/he is from Africa, Asia or China or whereever, but we are allowed to say s/he is from France, Italy or America.
But if a Swede works in say Nairobi and meets a woman and marries her then we would say that she is from Nairobi. She is not a Swede with foreign background.

It is a mess. A little adopted child from say China is as Swedish as you can get in their soul and heart. Their relatives are all Swedes. It would be cruel to say that child is a Swede with foreign background. The little thing does not know anything about the country they come from. They happily speak Swedish, sing children songs, celebrate Christmas and do all the things Swedish kids do.

That's not true.

This democratic party is a merger of the Party of Democratic Socialism (PDS) [the follower-up party of the GDR's SED] and the "Electoral Alternative for Labour and Social Justice" (WASG) [consisting of former, left-wing SPD-members and union members].

The Communist Party in Germany is the DKP and some other small parties.

@saab,
Yes, they are left, far left of the SPD (which isn't very difficult since the SPD is centre-left).

When the **** hits the fan in European nations, and it will, the ****-bird politicians who have brought all of this grief about will not be there to help, they'll be kicking it in Bimini or some other resort.

Ordinary European people have been totally sold out.

@Merry Andrew,
I certainly agree that parts of their platform is reasonable when presented.
Certain things I would love to support, but when their politicians are presenting things it often come out extreem.
In normal conversation with people many support what they say in different areas, but I only know one couple who would vote them and they too are always kind of extreem.
Sverige Demokraterna are against the EU constitution, which I am too, so are other parties either to the very left or to the very right in Europe, so I gave up voting at all.
We know what happened in Ireland. They voted NO and were more or less forced to vote again to say YES.
It it not quite PC to vote for the Sverige Demokraterna.

Well, when you read other (European) right wing party's platforms, - they may sound reasonable as well. For some.
That's why they get voters. Populism. Disguising their nationalism, racism, ...

I'm perhaps the only one who doesn't know what happened Ireland.
Who forced them? Don't you thing it was free voting?

@Walter Hinteler,
EU needs a constitution but not one of 400 pages.
A country has laws, which might differ for different parts of the country.
A constitution has to be for the whole country.
I think the same should be for EU.
Ireland voted no. Then they voted yes after certain things had been changed to their favour.
The legally binding "guarantees" state that Lisbon will not affect key areas of Irish sovereignty, such as taxation, military neutrality and family matters such as abortion - significant issues in last year's campaign in Ireland. But they have not yet been attached to the treaty.
They voted yes after they got their will. You get your will and we get our will.
Several people - not Sverige Demokrater - called it pure blackmail.

Okay. But previously you said that they were forced to vote 'yes'. That's what I asked about.

I have a different understanding of 'blackmail', too.
