My father has been feeling pressure under the bottom of his left rib cage for weeks now. its also caused a shortness of breath. about 2 or 3 nights ago it was giving him trouble to the point to where he could not sleep. he woke up early that mourning with feelings of nausea. he began to vomit some type of clear matter. then ten minutes later he began to vomit blood & a considerable amount. after this, the pain, the pressure, and the shortness of breath had all disapeared. 24-36 hours later he felt a pain in the same spot that wasnt there before, and his shortness of breath had returned. what could this be?
@trainwrek79,
Anyone who vomits blood needs to see a doctor. Sometimes the pain you describe can be a simple muscle pull, but the other symptoms, which might or might not be related, require expert medical attention.
.
Consider gall bladder attack
@Green Witch,
I would advise taking him to an emergency room rather than just a doctor. It sounds like his lungs are filling with fluid.
@Butrflynet,
could this be because of a cancerous tumor, ulsars, or something of that origion?
@trainwrek79,
It could be any of the above or something entirely different altogether. However, none of us are doctors with a x-ray machine at the ready. It's irresponsible to wait for anonymous internet users to diagnose a problem. Take the man to the hospital.
