I got an invitation, I'm just wondering if someone knows more than just what the web page tells me.
Is it worth anything more than just the right to say your a member and have a pretty piece of paper?
@Wilso,

The benefits of Golden Key membership go far beyond academic recognition. In fact, Golden Key provides more tangible benefits than any other college honor society. Member benefits range from scholarships and development opportunities to jobs and internships. Through Golden Key, members are empowered with tools to help them realize their potential.
As I read it, for $95.00 you can make a note on your resume that you paid someone $95.00.
Hope that helps.

That's what I'm concerned about.
It depends on how your tolerance is for reality vs. promotion of the Golden Key.
I'm not patient enough to scroll through all the information on the website, which is a warning light in itself.
Why are you interested in joining?
Most of these honor societies are basically scams, if you pay them you get in and that's all there is to it. Look at this application and the following acceptance email:
@Wilso,
I wouldn't - when I was in grad school one of my professors nominated me to be in an international honor society for economics. It didn't cost me a penny - but you simply needed to have a certain grade average and your professor's recommendation.

Looks like the consensus is "Hell no!!"
@Robert Gentel,
I think we should all apply and mess up their system.
Nigel got one of those invitations.
He took the "hell no" option.
