There are so many out there that I thought it'd be helpful to list some that I've been getting.

I recently got a text, purportedly from TD Bank, that my account had temporarily been suspended. I've never had a text from a bank so I called them and they confirmed it was a scam and asked me to report it to their Fraud site.

I am always getting recorded calls from the CRA (your IRS) that legal action is being taken against me. CRA never makes phone calls or sends emails.

I also get phone calls telling me my Windows is having security issues. These people are Nigerian. The thing is - I have a Mac. I'm told I can pay for them to clear it by by gift cards, lol. Toys'r'Us, drugstores, etc.

I just now had a text message from an out of state number I recognize as a junk call. "Where you at?" Razz

I've had a couple of claiming they had detected a problem with my Amazon account.

@edgarblythe,
Cool

There are also PayPal scams that have been tried on me. But the ones telling me to pay by gift cards make me laugh.

Can’t count how many phone spam calls, mostly extended warranty calls. Then there’s the email from Amazon fake or PayPal fake, closing my account. Jeez, what a waste.

Had at least 20 calls yesterday from Amazon ...well not really claimed they were Amazon left messages saying $729 from somewhere in Ohio blah blah...same message over 20 times.

Then I got an email about a smart tv I ordered on Amazon.so I looked up my account just to be sure...of course no new orders or any activity.

My nephew has used my account from Ohio so I have gotten emails to approve orders from Ohio, but he will let me know a head of time.

Yeah looked them up and these are scam calls.
