yes david, you have all the answers so answer me this. how many households in scotland have guns? the answer just might shock your not so hidden agenda.

In order to competently answer that,
I 'd have to search all of the households in Scotland.

I am under the impression that thru out England and Scotland
guns are prohibited. I have no information as to the number of illegally possessed guns.

Sorry that I can 't be of more help,
but all that searching is a lot of work.

as in canada, the british isles have restrictions on hand gun ownership (it's possible but not made easy), but in the rural areas their are lot's of long guns (shotguns/hunting rifles)

On the History Channel a few nites ago,
I saw a re-enactment of the Sharon Tate party murders
and of the LaBiance murders. Thay were ugly -- very ugly.

I was struck by the cowardice of Manson 's hit man, one "Tex".
He began by using shears to cut the victims' fone lines. Unfair.

It was obvious that if any of the victims had offered armed resistance he 'd have fled,
with Manson's girls close behind him.

IF any of the victims had merely displayed a gun,
we 'd probably have never even heard of Charlie Manson nor of Susan Atkins.

The ONE thing that enabled Manson's massacres was THE VICTIMS' HELPLESSNESS.

For purposes of defending your life, on a continuing basis
(the same way that u have continuing health insurance)
such weapons are unwieldy, and cumbersome; not feasible.
