Hi, guys.
I found that information highway has the similar meaning of the Internet, but I don't know how to use this word. Does it have the similar use as the Internet, such as chatting on the infomation highway? Could you please give some examples?
Thank you.

The word "superhighway" is an American English word for a high speed road, the kind called an "autobahn", "autoroute", "motorway" etc in other parts of the world. The "Information superhighway" was a popular term used through the 1990s to refer to digital communication systems. It can mean the Internet, the World Wide Web (not the same thing as the Internet), the whole ensemble of digital communication systems and technology, or a proposed high-speed communications system that was touted by the Clinton/Gore administration to enhance education in America in the 21st Century.
