@plainoldme,
Journalism is still taught in colleges? Maybe that's why Palin still seems so cogent--whether one agrees or disagrees with her.

That's why her responses in interviews, was there two or three of them, have been so spot on accurate and let's not forget, incisive.

@Advocate,
Some people who continues to believe Obama is not a US citizen are the same people who voted for GW Bush.

Supreme Court upholds 'birther' sanction

Quote:
WASHINGTON — The Supreme Court has upheld a $20,000 fine against a leader of the movement challenging President Barack Obama's citizenship.

The high court on Monday refused to block a federal judge's October 2009 ruling that required California lawyer and dentist Orly Taitz to pay the $20,000 fine for filing a "frivolous" litigation. The judge said Taitz attempted to misuse the federal courts to push a political agenda.

Taitz sued in Georgia federal court on behalf of Army Capt. Connie Rhodes. Rhodes sought to avoid deployment to Iraq by claiming Obama wasn't born in the United States.

Justice Samuel Alito on Monday rejected Taitz's second request to block the sanctions. Justice Clarence Thomas had rejected the request earlier.

@DrewDad,
World Nut Daily has another report on Sheriff Joe, who says (gasp!) a place on Obama's birth certificate that was first filled in with pencil was later filled in with ink!

This proves that Obama is a ghost, and Sarah Palin from the mirror universe is automatically President.

@DrewDad,
The current meme from the right is that "Obama is not American enough!"

Bachmann says "Obama is the most dangerous president this country ever had."

These crazy Americans are part and parcel of this country; they scare me!

It can now be said "without equivocation" that Obama DESPISES this country.

In my opinion, if Obama loses this election then the Democratic Party will be effecting a move to the center, based on Obama being conceived as a more left leaning president. The Democratic Party will just market what sells, in my opinion. My question is, was Obama a test product for a more left leaning Democratic Party?

There will be many more candidates of color in both parties, I believe. The demographics of the US is not anymore a white picket fence America, so we will likely have all sorts of future candidates that will have different countries in developing nations applaud a future US president. This reminds me the way many a baseball team, in my opinion, would have players that reflected the city's different demographics, for purposes of ticket sales. The same was done with boxing, in its heyday. It's all marketing. We're marketing global capitalism, in my opinion.

Fine, not left leaning per se, but he is not a conservative, regardless of whether he has benefitted some conservative ideals, like utilizing drones.

Don't you believe Obama has a different "vision" for the US than conservative Republicans, or is the whole political thing a charade?

Back-tracking? LOL You shouldn't be making statements that you can't support. Most conservatives charges against Obama are lies. You fall in that same group.

@DrewDad,

That's what you get when you pack the Supreme Court with far-left justices like Alito and Thomas.

You really don't know what group I fall into, since you are making assumptions based on only my posts. That is not a complete picture; it is only stilted conversation.

Yes, I make assumptions from your posts. That's because there is evidence of your position by what you say. DUH!

By the way, three years on, I believe my initial suppositions in this thread have been completely and totally born out by the evidence: the 'birther' crowd are, indeed, simply using replacement language to try and paint the prez as some sort of 'other.'
