Have people forgotten what the batter's circle was made for or has it went the way of the dodo?

I expected the Yankees to cruise against the Guardians. Shows how much I know.

@Region Philbis,
I was pulling for the Padres, but I never expected them to beat the Dodgers. It was a pleasant surprise.

The rare time I rooted for the Yankees. To dispatch the Cleveland Guardians. Not because of the Guardians themselves but because of Rep Jim Jordan, being an all around douche.

Now that team is out of the playoffs? Let's GO ASTROS! Yankees SUCK!

@tsarstepan,
For me, since the Dodgers are out, I will root for the Padres.

It is my chimerical dream that the Strohs sweep every game through the series. Not possible, probably, but one can wish.

That HR was amazing. No less amazing was the bullpen that kept the game from getting totally out of hand until that moment could occur.

As for the businessman, I've written about him before. He organized some help for Florida not many days back.

The man I write about is on TV this morning giving a fistful of world series tickets to a nine year old boy. I didn't get the details. The same man has been buying ads for some Republican candidates. That lowers him in my esteem, but I have to acknowledge when he does good for somebody.

A good way Houstonians can save a thousand plus bucks today is to stay home and watch the game on channel 26. Comfortable, low cost snacks. Leave early if need be. No headache traffic. The only downside: You won't catch the game winning ball. But you weren't goin to do that anyway.

@edgarblythe,
Nothing beats seeing your home team in the league Championship or World Series better than being there in person. However, that being said, combined cost of inflated ticket costs, parking and absurd concession gouging takes a bit of the fun out of it.

Also, some parks are not very conducive for fan comfort. Seeing it in the comfort of your home, with large screen and enhanced sound makes up for it.

BTW, congrats on Houston making it to the WS once again. They’re making a habit of it!

@edgarblythe,
Anybody who could afford to attend a World Series game has too much money anyway.

I admit it is fun to be in a baseball stadium watching the game. But watching baseball on television or even radio has its benefits. You can do something else at the same time.
