My dad had a similar approach to playoff baseball, only more radical.
He always rooted for the team who was behind, for all he cared about was for the season to last the longest (on game 7, though, he did have a favorite).
I shall never forgive the Reds and the A's for giving my father only 4 games in the last World Series he was able to watch.

As usual, the season ends with me deciding which team I hate the most. This year, Philly. Le'ts go blue!

I think they're rather giving up Johnny Damon.

Will be glad to see him with a beard again.

@fbaezer,
What do you think are the chances that the Red Sox pick up Johnny Damon again?

@tsarstepan,
The question is: Do they need Johnny Damon?
Wouldn't hurt'em (except financially), but I think they made their choice by signing Jeremy Hermida.

@fbaezer,

benedict damon?
i don't see them bringing him back... ever.

if bay leaves, i don't think they pursue holliday.
hermida would prolly platoon with a righthanded hitting LF to be named later.

they're trying to move lowell.
if they do, youk could move to 3rd, then they could go after gonzalez to play 1st...

@Region Philbis,
How is Lackey as a pitcher? Health wise? Consistency wise? Under pressure wise?

@tsarstepan,

i'd say he's a solid #3 in the rotation --

historically, he has not fared well @ fenway though...

@tsarstepan,
With the salary of the job I was cut from last month, I'd have to work 220 years in order to make John Lackey's salary.

Well, it's a good thing I don't work there any more, eh?
