@Region Philbis,
I honestly thought chewing was banned...must be the BPA that's fighting a ban.

@Region Philbis,
Amen to that. No sense risking your health for a dumb habit like that.

I recall back in time, I heard some players allege that having chewing gum wrapped around a 'chaw' of tobacco helped them concentrate. Why not take speed (greenies) like the rest of them did?

@George,
My wildest dream is that he ends up there and he has a long career patrolling the OF. It's good for baseball that it happens!

A few years ago, he hit a tape-measure HR off Jamie Moyer that was well over 500 feet. It left the park at like 1222mph (they measure the HR speed AS WELL AS the distance, these days). When it came down, it did damage to some panels on the scoreboard, I think. BTW, Moyer hadn't given up a HR in something like 10 years.

@Ragman,
Apparently they had a special "Klan Day" at the Whit Sox Game last week.

@Ragman,
Oops...that should read 122 mph. Typical for him is about 105 mph. This one was a tape measure shot, even for him.

@Ragman,
yeh. The White Sox had a "White Sox Poncho" giveaway to all the ticketholders. It started raining during the game, so Everybody put on their ponchos and it was only then that the White Sox events Coordinator suddenly realized that the poncho needed some major redesign work.

I would love to see a pan shot of the entire grandstand area and see the sea of "Klavern White Sox" faces in their regalia. Ill bet they had a cross burning in the parking lot after the game

Lots of people upset when NL's Wainwright admitted he "grooved" Jeter in a sign of deference. Jeter helped the AL secure home field advantage in next year's World Series.
That rule HAS to be changed.

But I like that All Star home-field-advantage-to-the-winner rule.
