@fansy,
The Hummer was based on the original HUMVEE.

That's my favorite so far.

Nah...they are too big and obnoxious. It seems to me people are just thumbing their nose at the economy and the environment when they drive those things...but maybe that is a little green eyed monster talking.

@dyslexia,
But a "double entendre" usually means that there is an indelicate meaning concealed behind a polite one, doesn't it? I cannot see any double meaning of this kind.

@contrex,
Mismi used the phrase "big and obnoxious ... green eyed monster".

That is indelicate.

@ebrown p,
It's not really indelicate unless you have a dirty mind. "Green eyed monster" - I have never heard mention of this being connected to anything indelicate...I think it is generally known to mean "envious"...of course I could be wrong - it happens. A lot.

BUT one eyed monster - sure...Have never used that phrasing however. Big and obnoxious...well for pete's sake....there are a lot of things big and obnoxious that have nothing to do with a man's pinus. Did I spell that right...it looks wrong. I don't think I have ever typed that word - ever. huh.

But suffice it to say - that is NOT what I meant...Letty knows it...she was teasing me...and perhaps warning me. Rightfully so. Dirty minds and all that. Razz

I like the "take no ****" look about them. That's what you need on today's road.

@eoe,
I hate Humvees.

The solution is to raise the price of gas. Actually this is the solution to several of the worlds problems.

You are not at all wrong; that is exactly what it means. I guess somebody might confuse green- and one- eyed monsters if they had a dirty mind, a propensity to think of penises often, but it is hardly your fault.
