@farmerman,
I'm thinking you might you might try to immobilize the big toe, maybe tape the big toe to the one next to it, keep the swelling down (maybe ice pacs) and not worry too much about clots since you take coumadin already. Probably a nice dessert will take your mind off the pain.

Bummer, farmerman. Sorry to hear this. May the wasps RIP. Or maybe not.

May you get some rest and relief from the pain.

My only experience with a broken toe was when a horse stepped on my foot (what's with these animals). One toe taped to the next. Limped and gimped around. But it healed.

Take it easy, kid.

@djjd62,
How and the hell did Pennand Teller do that? amazing. The only way they could keep themselves from getting stung was to kep the bees really well full of nectar and to "drug them" a bit.

@farmerman,
according to an interview, penn only got stung 4 times, but teller was stung about 24 times, including once in the mouth, while neither of them turned out to be allergic, teller had some really horrible swelling including some painful discomfort in his nether regions, they both apparently had epi syringes on cords around their necks (under their shirts) and had been coached by a physician to recognize the signs of anaphylactic shock

thanks for all the "good wishes". I went to bed early last night and (with a little help from a 10 mike valium, slept like a baby). This AM the pain is substantially reduced and walking is much easier.
I can see that my fund of pity has been substantially reduced also. I have to make breakfass this AM cause my wife is teaching a course on sheep health problems.

The bitch has no heart.
