The trouble with entering the NYer contest (y'all know I'm a NYer fan and a Mankoff fan in particular, what a cutie, though he's married so out of bounds) is that most of us have somewhat peculiar names that we'd probably have to explain, or else be accused of plagiarizing ourselves...

How would I ever explain Ossobuco?

Then there's Firefly, who submits a lot of funnies here:
might as well say you're Tinker Bell...

I'm, cough, a long time New Yorker subscriber (40 years?) who can't afford it anymore, but still reads the ample items that aren't limited to subscribers.

Gotta say, even that beats the LA Times all to hell.
