That plan works for me.
We have two TV's, I'll give that a shot.
Same space, different activities makes a lot of sense. I mean, what do couples do who read? They read different books in the same room.
I think for a lot of people it's just knowing the other person is there that makes it good.
I know that I can barely tolerate the war stuff Setanta likes to watch on t.v., and he's not a fan of decorating shows. So, same space, different activity.
When my son was in preschool, they called that "parallel play."
I went to visit a deaf friend who has a deaf family (something like 4th generation deaf) and they had two TV's side by side in the living room. They're all deaf, so they just have captions on, so the gals can watch "Steel Magnolias" while the guys watch the Bears, all in the same room. I thought that was kinda cool.

Well, for a complete 24 hours, I stayed off. Me and her are *starting* to get along better, I'll keep you posted.
